Flaps are gone
Took off the hard plastic mud flaps last weekend so I wouldn’t break them.
Look at all the flecks!
Then I hit Uwharrie for the first time on Monday afternoon. Trip report coming soon but I had a great time.

Cool call, If you trail you either do it before hand or the trail will do it for you, I’ve seen it.

I trimmed mine a good 3 inches or so (above the 4x4 logo). Believe it or not, in some states, they’re mandatory on trucks. Since I’m mostly an easy mountain pass/fire road explorer, I don’t run into any difficulty with them now. If I ever really start wheeling, they’ll come off.

Getting some Rally Armors?
I just shortened mine, you can just see them here;
Wanted to keep a bit of protection but didn’t want them ripping off in the snow.

Yeah that would’ve happened for sure. My hitch already got eaten by a log during the PO. Question - what does one have to do to get overland kinja authorship? Now that I’m back in the off road game I have some things to share.

Just gonna run without them for now. Kinda like throwing mud everywhere.

I was initially concerned about breaking or tearing mine off but they’ve held up remarkably well- surprisingly more flexible than I’d thought. The front ones have been folded back on the sliders once or twice before too.
